In my humble opinion, black and brown generally don't go very well together in separate outfits. I would suggest a khaki suit. Since it is the end of the season, you might be able to find a sale.

This is an awesome suit at J.Crew, I'm not sure how much you are willing to spend. Club Monaco has a khaki suit as well, it might be on sale by now.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for reading,

Can anyone help me out, my boyfriend and I are going to a wedding this weekend. I bought this beautiful brown dress to wear and now I have to find something for him to wear so that we match. I wanted him to wear a suit, but if he does he wants to wear a black suit. Also, he would like to wear black pants, is there still a way we can match. My dress is a solid dark chocolate brown color. All of your input is very much appreciated!!

DapperdGent - Thanks! I'm glad you like it! Getting pants hemmed and tapered cost around $20 bucks. I get them taken in on the side, normally right above my knee, and then tapered down to the hem. Once you get a good idea for the bottom opening, measure it so that you can get some consistency instead of eye balling it once your tailor pins it. That way for your next pair of pants, you can have

One thing to note. When you sit down, your muscles elongate and have a wider circumference than you would standing up. Make sure you are able to sit down without the pants being skin tight.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks!

Honestly, I just used my iPhone and would look for one where ever I was. I went to one in Chelsea, and I was trying to get to some up on the Upper East Side. I tend to go for high income areas.

Good luck! And let me know if you find something!

I really like how this site, stumbled on to it actually; but you are doing us a great service sir. I thank you! I do have a question as i am becoming more interested in the tailoring of my pants. I a pretty small waist and bigger thighs, what adjustments would you recomend, i like your slim/tapered look on slacks. How do i get that look on some pants i got from some thrifting?
